Various types of emergencies and crises can occur, ranging from minor fires or other types of accidents to larger and more serious incidents.
In the event of an incident or emergency, the Fire department should be alerted at +46 26 426 10 00. The Fire department has a 90-second response time (the time from the alarm to dispatch) around the clock. When you call the emergency number, be prepared to answer a few questions from the operator:
- State what has happened and where it happene
- Provide the reference location
- Meet the Fire brigade at the reference location
Tip! Save the emergency number in your phone contacts, for example as “Emergency Number Sandviken Industrial Park”.
Remember, being prepared for incidents is a key factor in successfully managing emergencies and crises.
In Case of Fire, Follow This Procedure:
- Rescue – Rescue yourself and anyone in immediate danger. If possible, close doors to prevent the spread of smoke and fire.
- Warn – Warn others nearby.
- Alert – Alert by calling the emergency number or by pressing an alarm button. If you cannot do it yourself, ask someone else to alert.
- Extinguish – If possible, extinguish the fire. Consider your safety and do not take unnecessary risks.
- Evacuate – Evacuate to your designated assembly point.
